We have a lot of historical precedent to consider now. Currently, this is a very politically charged, partisan, and toxic debate. We have a government that has reached a stalemate where very few of our real problems are being addressed or even discussed. Political ideology, primarily regarding the role of government, is the primary culprit.

Do you have any suggestions for breaking the stalemate in Washington and in your state capitol? Finally, and this is a tough one, do you think it is possible to eliminate poverty? How or Why Not?
