GRADING CRITERIA
All answers should be written in your own words to demonstrate your knowledge of the information you have reviewed.
1-5 points will be deducted for each missing answer or ideas that are underdeveloped for Part 2 Questions 1-4 and 6. 
1-5 points will be deducted for each missing point on the checklist in Part 2 Question #5. 
1-5 points will be deducted for failing to include a detailed or descriptive example for each point on the checklist in Part 2 Question #5. (Do not cut and paste examples, they must be in your own words).
1-5 points will be deducted for a missing answer or failure to include a detailed or descriptive example for Part 3 Question #1. 
Question 5 will not be graded without including the URL.

Part 2: Answer the following questions. Do not repeat the questions, just # each answer. Use detailed examples and answer in each question in a paragraph format.
1. Introduction: Explain why it is important to review the information on the “about us” page when you are considering using a website for nutrition or health related information. 5 points
2. Provider and Purpose: Briefly discuss 3 clues that identify a reliable web site and 3 clues that indicate the website might be a questionable source. 5 points
3. Information Quality: Briefly discuss 3 clues that identify quality information and 3 clues that indicate the information may be questionable. 5 points
4. Privacy: Discuss two privacy issues you should consider. 5 points
5. Checklist: 20 points
 Use the check list to evaluate a website you are considering using for nutrition or health information.  Report your findings with detailed examples for each point on the check list .  Include the URL to the website – this section can’t be graded without the website URL
6.  After putting your website through the checklist, is this is a reliable website?  Your answer should be based on the results of the checklist.  Do you feel more informed about internet health information websites? 5 points
Part 3: Watch the Consumer Reports review of the 5-hour Energy commercial. List 3 things in the commercial you find to be the most misleading and explain why. How does this review affect the way you will be thinking about the information presented in similar commercials promoting nutrition supplements? 5 points
